Frequently Asked
Questions
Is Pelvic Health Physiotherapy covered by my insurance provider?
If your insurance plan includes physiotherapy benefits, Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is typically covered. We submit claims under physiotherapy. However, your insurer may require a doctor's referral to process the claim.
Do you offer direct billing?
Not all insurance companies offer direct billing. If yours does, we will handle the billing directly for you.
Is there parking close by?
Yes there is free parking on site.
Can I come if I am pregnant?
Yes, unless you have been advised not to have intercourse or vaginal exams. If an internal vaginal exam is not possible, we can still evaluate and treat you using external therapy methods.
How soon can I come postpartum?
We usually start seeing women around 6 weeks postpartum. If you have pain or unexpected pelvic health symptoms, please schedule a 15-minute phone consultation with one of our Pelvic Health Physiotherapists to see if earlier care is needed.
Can I bring my baby?
Yes, we love babies! We have appropriate foam mats for babies to lay/play on.
Can I come to my appointment if I am menstruating?
Yes, you can definitely attend your appointment if you are menstruating. If you prefer not to come during your period, we suggest tracking your cycle and scheduling your appointments for times when you are not menstruating.
